The Criteria of eligibility
GMAT: To appear in GMAT test, you should have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream or that of equal from a recognized university. Final year Graduation candidates are simply eligible to apply. There is no least cut off grades needed to appear in GMAT.
CAT: To appear in CAT test, the aspirant must have a Bachelor’s degree in any stream having least amount of 50% marks or equivalent from a standard university. Even final year Graduation candidates are qualified to apply.
Frequency or Mode of test
GMAT: it is conducted throughout the year; the applicants can book an exam slot from the announced calendar as per their convenience. The aspirant can also re-take the test five times but that should be within 12 months. The utmost of eight attempts are allowed to any candidate in his/her lifetime.
CAT: this test gets held only once a year. CAT application procedure begins in August and the exam takes place in the last week of November or that of first week of December.
